Privacy notice

This website is just for our wedding. This note explains what information we collect when you use it, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch with either of us directly.

Who's responsible

This site is run by Vanya and Adam for our wedding. We decide what information is collected and how it's used, and we're the people to contact about it — just reach out to either of us directly (you'll have our details from your invitation).

What we collect

• Your name and the names of people in your party, as they appear on your invitation.
• Your invitation code — the code printed on your invitation, which unlocks your page.
• Your RSVP answers — which of your invited events you're coming to.
• Basic technical data for security — if someone repeatedly enters a wrong invitation code, we briefly record the internet (IP) address of those attempts so we can stop misuse. These records clear automatically.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, analytics, or any third-party trackers. The only cookie we use is a strictly necessary one that keeps you signed in after you enter your code.

(If we ever add anything else — for example a box for dietary requirements — we'll update this note and only use it to look after you on the day.)

Why we use it

To plan and run our wedding: to invite the right people and know who's coming. We also use the security data above to protect the site from abuse. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in organising our wedding and keeping the site safe; giving us an RSVP is entirely voluntary.

Who sees it

• Just the two of us (Vanya and Adam).
• Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, which stores the site and its data on our behalf as a service provider — they don't use your data for their own purposes.

No one else has access. We will never sell your information or use it for marketing.

How long we keep it

Your information lives in the website's database (hosted by Cloudflare). We keep it only as long as we need it to plan the wedding, and we'll delete the guest list and RSVP data within three months after the wedding. The security records above clear automatically within a day.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to object to how we're using it — just get in touch with either of us directly and we'll sort it out. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), though we'd love the chance to put things right first.
